00:13
I'm Eric Breslow and welcome to my collection.
00:16
This is The Breslow Collection.
00:17
It's my private collection of European
00:20
and special interest automobiles.
00:22
We have about 25 cars in the collection.
00:24
It's a lot of iconic sports cars, European,
00:27
and each car for me has to have a cool story.
00:30
The cars that you have here are not only beautiful,
00:32
but I know each one has a really unique story to it.
00:35
Why do you call this the Air Force One Studebaker?
00:38
Well you know that the guy that designed this car,
00:39
Raymond Loewy, he was an architect and he designed
00:41
the original color scheme for the Kennedys
00:44
in the '60s of Air Force One.
00:44
And you know that Air Force One
00:46
is kind of a blue and a white.
00:47
And so this car is kinda the blue and white scheme,
00:49
so it's kind of our Air Force One, we call it.
00:51
I'm a sucker for a GT style car.
00:54
I like the long nose frontage and style of cars.
00:56
This is one of my favorite body style cars of all time.
01:00
This color seems really kinda special to me.
01:02
It's very '60's right?
01:03
Yeah.
01:04
Very '60s English, it's called sable brown
01:06
with cinnamon interior.
01:07
This is actually a rare car because it's got
01:09
factory air and factory powered steering
01:11
so it's very modern car to drive.
01:15
You know, the engine's beautiful,
01:16
but you gotta hear the exhaust note,
01:17
and hear this thing start up.
01:18
Will you start it?
01:19
Let's do it.
01:20
(engine revving)
01:22
[Matt] I can't believe how easy it starts.
01:24
It sounds great.
01:26
This a 1957, a 190 SL Mercedes.
01:29
People just respond so well to this car.
01:31
People come in and they gravitate towards this.
01:33
This car's been on catalog covers
01:36
and it's been in feature films.
01:38
So this is one of my favorite cars 'cause it works hard.
01:41
Eric you have some amazing Porsches,
01:44
but the car I wanna ask you about is
01:46
this Alfa Romeo right here.
01:47
This is a 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale.
01:51
What's really cool about this car though,
01:53
it's only had two owners and it's 38,000 original miles,
01:57
and that interior is all original.
01:59
Another great investment car, if you can find one.
02:01
Exactly.
02:02
So you have the Helm's Bakery truck.
02:04
Every time I see it, it makes me hungry, by the way.
02:07
But let's check this thing out.
02:08
It's a 1936 Divco Twin Coach.
02:11
Get in it. Come on, let's go.
02:12
That's your gas pedal obviously,
02:14
and this pedal is a dual clutch and break pedal.
02:16
So, step that half way. Now you're at a gear.
02:19
And then step down all the way. Now you're breaking.
02:21
This was a bread delivery truck
02:23
and they would drive around the streets of Los Angeles
02:25
and pull their little pipe tin whistle
02:27
to let people know that they were in town
02:28
and ready to serve bread, so go ahead and give two tugs.
02:31
(light whistles)
02:32
Your bread has arrived.
02:34
Eric, thank you so much. This has been an absolute pleasure.
02:37
Now, I hope you've enjoyed a sneak peak
02:39
into Eric Breslow's private car collection.
